SuperKidz Mini-Enterprise |
|
The pupils in Mrs Fazey’s class have been taking part in a mini enterprise project. The children have set up their own business “SuperKidz”and have been learning about how to run a business and the importance of having a positive work ethos. They have demonstrated their abilities to vocalise and share ideas, organise, market and advertise, handle money and deal with the public. Their first project involved making, buying and selling a variety of Christmas gifts.
Over the year, this has provided them with invaluable experiences to help them develop a range of social and teambuilding skills. It has also provided the children with the opportunity to learn how products are displayed and research the types of gifts that are sold.
As part of this project, on Friday 2nd December, Mrs Fazey’s class set up their stall at a local Co-operative Supermarket where they held a tombola, sold mugs filled with chocolates, Christmas decorations and planters of hyacinth bulbs.
Monies raised from this and the sale at the Christmas Fayre was split between school fund and our nominated Charity, the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
