All school meals are cooked on site by our own catering team and are of a very high standard.

The school has achieved the Healthy Schools Standard and welfare provision is inspected on an annual basis by the Commission of Care Standards. In all inspections the school has been complimented on the variety and standard of food provided.

There are Government guidelines that make it a duty for schools to provide a well balanced diet, which has been common practice at Skilts for many years. If on the rare occasion that parents wish to send a packed lunch into school this must also follow the Government Guidelines, further information is available from the school office upon request

Well-balanced menus are rotated over a 4 Week cycle. Click here to see our current Menu. Breakfast is provided for residential children who are given the choice of fruit juice, cereals, toast, porridge together with a hot choice of the day.

Classroom boxes are specially prepared for consumption within the classroom environment which contain a selection of either healthy crumpets, oat & raisin cookies, muffins, flapjacks or On The Run Breakfast Bars together with fruit juice.
